Executive Director Job Description
The Professional Theatre Awards Council, producer of the Kevin Kline
Awards, is seeking an Executive Director to oversee the council's
programs, liaise with the theatre and business communities and
continue the organization's growth
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director's
responsibilities will include development, public relations, marketing
and financial management of the council overall and specifically day
to day management of
- the annual Kevin Kline Awards show (year-long judging and selection
of judges, balloting, selection of production team for awards show)
- the Kevin Kline Ticket Fund and additional educational outreach initiatives
- On-going cross-promotional marketing efforts offered to member theatres
- Fundraisers and other initiatives (Free Night of Theatre) as they arise
- Kevin Kline Awards website
The ideal candidate has stellar development and relationship building
skills and is a master of multi-tasking. Should be comfortable with
the full gamut of tasks, from strategic planning down to updating the
website. While this is an executive position, the PTAC is in a growth
stage. Development success and creative use of resources will enable
the successful candidate to move and stay solidly toward the executive
end of the required skill-set.
Theatre background of some kind preferred but not required.
Development and business experienced required. Working knowledge of
Microsoft Office suite and the internet a must.
This is a full-time position. Salary to be negotiated.
