CABARET COUNTS:

The bright and energetic national touring company cast of "Wicked" wowed a sold-out crowd of 400 at the Sheldon Concert Hall on Monday night with an original Broadway cabaret to benefit the Kevin Kline Awards. The awards are intended to acknowledge and honor St. Louis' professional theater community and to help increase attendance at professional productions. Rich Krechel was chairman of the event; Lana Pepper and Mary Strauss were co-chairs. Among those lighting up the house were: Jerry McAdams, prez of the Professional Theatre Awards Council, and Steve Isom, the council's exec director; Henry and Susan Warshaw; Maria and Don Kukla; Hilda and Phil Willman; Ben and Susan Uchitelle; Alison Ferring; Elaine Willingham; Helen Weiss; Millie Cohn; and Ken and Nancy Kranzberg. Nancy tipped that they're expecting a new grandchild - daughter Mary Ann Srenco and her husband, Andy, are infanticipating.
