Theatre History/Description: STAGES ST. LOUIS is the region's foremost not-for-profit company committed to preserving and advancing the art form of Musical Theatre through excellence in performance and education. In 2011, STAGES celebrates its 25th year of producing Broadway-quality theatre, presenting 124 performances from May through October to more than 45,000 patrons. The milestone year is a celebration of life’s secrets and the human need for self-discovery. The season begins with the Pulitzer and Tony Award-winning, A Chorus Line a celebration of the music, movement, and emotion of musical theatre. The season continues with The Secret Garden, an uplifting tale of the heart celebrating the essence of life itself, and the 25th Anniversary Season concludes with Victor/Victoria, a comical and touching celebration of the many facets of love. In addition, the 2011 season Theatre for Young Audiences production will feature Disney’s 101 Dalmatians.
